Welcome to Thrashin’ Skateboarding: Celebrating 40 Years of a Film That Changed Our Lives
Share
In 1986, a film arrived that would leave a permanent mark on an entire generation of skateboarders.
That film was Thrashin’.
Now, forty years later, we are proud to welcome you to Thrashin’ Skateboarding—a new skate shop created to celebrate the movie, the skateboarding culture of the 1980s and the rebellious spirit that inspired so many of us to step onto a skateboard.
For many skaters of our generation, Thrashin’ was much more than just a film. We watched it hundreds of times. We knew the dialogue, the songs, the characters and every unforgettable scene by heart.
Corey Webster, Hook, the Daggers, the Ramp Locals, the downhill race, the music, the clothes and the attitude became part of our lives.
Every time the film ended, whether we watched it alone or surrounded by friends, we wanted to grab our boards, head outside and skate. For a few hours, our streets became Los Angeles, our local crew became the Daggers and every session felt like a new adventure.

A Dream Born in the 1980s
Thrashin’ Skateboarding was created by a skater who started riding in the 1980s and never truly stopped.
This store is the realization of a childhood dream: to create a place that brings together skateboarding, friendship, freedom, music and the unforgettable energy of the era in which many of us discovered our passion.
It is a shop for those who remember what it felt like to get their first skateboard. For those who spent entire afternoons skating with friends. For those who built homemade ramps, discovered new spots and returned home with scraped knees, worn-out shoes and stories they would never forget.
It is also for a new generation of skaters who want to discover the style, shapes and attitude that made 1980s skateboarding so special.
Feel Like a Kid Again
Thrashin’ Skateboarding is about more than buying a skateboard.
It is about reconnecting with the feeling that made us fall in love with skating in the first place. It is about putting a board beneath your feet and, for a moment, feeling young again.
Maybe you always wanted to skate like Corey Webster.
Maybe you secretly wanted to lead the Daggers like Hook.
Or maybe you simply remember the excitement of watching Thrashin’ with your friends before heading outside for another unforgettable session.
Whatever your story may be, this place was created for you.
The Adventure Begins
During this special 40th-anniversary year, we will celebrate the film that marked our lives and the skateboarding culture it represented.
Here on the blog, we will share stories, classic skateboards, old-school setups, product reviews, memories from the 1980s and plenty of content inspired by the golden era of skateboarding.
This is the beginning of a new adventure—but its spirit started forty years ago.
Welcome to Thrashin’ Skateboarding.
Created by a skater, for skaters who never truly grew up.
Keep rolling. Keep dreaming. Keep Thrashin’.
